FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The women's volleyball team travelled to Indiana Tech Saturday afternoon for a match up with the Warriors. Davenport rallied from down 2-1 to force a fifth and deciding set, but the Warriors were able to outlast the Panthers by a 15-13 decision in the final set as DU fell, 3-0. This loss leaves the overall record for Davenport at 11-10 with a 5-3 mark in the WHAC.
The Panthers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the match following a 25-20 win in the opening set. This ignited a 19-kill performance from
Molly Lameyer as she would record a .436 hitting percentage. The Warriors were able to rally and take the next two sets and take over the match lead.
DU responded with another 25-20 win in set four as they forced the deciding game.
Sami White compiled 39 assists and
Marcey DeHaan totaled 16 kills to add to the Panther attack. Indiana Tech managed to outlast Davenport in the final set despite great a defensive performance from
Morgan Torres as she finished the match with 18 digs.
