GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers lose two sets by only a couple points to ultimately lose 3-0. Davenport dropped the first set 22-25 and the second set 26-28. The Panthers are now 1-1 against Aquinas on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-SET SCORES: 22-25, 26-28, 17-25
-The Panthers jumped out to an early 12-6 lead after a couple of kills by Carly Nichols. The set was tied 20-20 and the Saints won five out of the last seven points to win the set.
-Davenport again jumped out to an early lead as they led 7-3. DU would lead 24-20 after a kill by Krissy Dill then Aquinas would score four straight points to tie it at 24 a piece. The Panthers had two chances during the extra points to win the set and weren't able to convert.
-The Saints had momentum on their side as they defeated the Panthers 25-17 in the third and final set.
-Ashley VanderHorst (11) and Dil (10) both had double digits in kills.
-Jessica Marvin led DU with three blocks.
-Sami White would lead DU with 29 assists.
-The Panthers dig leader was Kasey Stehouwer with 26.
