GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The women's soccer team increases their winning streak to six straight games, all while shutting out the opponents. The Panthers (7-0-1) beat Indiana Wesleyan 2-0, who outscored their opponents 19-0 in their last three matches.

Davenport started off the first half on their heels, as reigning national player of the week, Tia Sanford, was making aggressive runs. However, defender Cynthia Konan was a key defensive player for this game as she matched every move made by Tia Sanford. Roheema Bennett ended the first half off with a bang, by chipping a shot over the keeper from about 20 yards out, assist was credited to Sabrina Stone.

The second half started off very physical, with both teams receiving multiple fouls in the first ten minutes of action. Roheema Bennett came through in the final minute of the second half, scoring an unassisted goal as she tapped the ball around the outreached goalies hands, than shot the ball in the open net.

Both teams had similar shooting stats, Indiana Wesleyan tallied 11 shots, four of which were on goal, and Davenport had 12 shots while getting four of those shots on net. Davenport increases their shutout streak and now have gone 565 consecutive minutes without conceding a goal. The NAIA released the national rankings earlier today and Davenport was receiving votes (47). Regan Troff recorded her third shutout of the season with the victory.
