GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers got off to a rocky start to the new year with two home losses against a tough Lindenwood University-Belleville. The Lynx scored 14 goals over the two games compared to the Panthers two goals. Davenport still carries a winning record of 12-9-2 and look to bounce back.

HOW IT HAPPENED-The offense of the Lynx was tough to stop for the Panthers, they scored two goals in the opening period and never looked back.
-Lindenwood-Belleville netted three more goals in the second and the third period to take an 8-0 win on Friday.

Devin Rosema and
Tyler Buchanan split time during this game, Rosema had 14 saves and Buchanan had 12 saves.
-Davenport spent only eight minutes in the penalty box compared to the Lynx's 18 minutes.

HOW IT HAPPENED-The Panthers made improvements both offensively and defensively from Friday to Saturday. The Lynx scored the opening goal of the game, but Davenport was able to respond just a couple minutes later to tie the game 1-1.
-Both the first and second period had the same story to it, the Lynx would score the initial goal, Davenport responded with a goal of their own, and then Lindenwood-Belleville would tack on another goal to increase the lead. After two periods the Lynx led 4-2.
-During the third period Davenport was un-able to score.

Marc Rotondo scored both goals for the Panthers.

Alex Stewart assisted on both of the goals.
-Rosema played the whole game in net and had 30 saves on the night.
UP NEXTDavenport travels to Ohio next weekend to compete in the Miami University (Ohio) Showcase in Oxford, Ohio.
