GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Four players reach double digits in scoring during big time win over Northwestern Ohio 77-69.
Kevin Rich and
Robbie Bramhill each chipped in 19 points tonight, while senior
Nick Gamble dished out a team high seven assists. Davenport created some distance between them and the Racers in the conference standings after the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half was a battle between the Panthers and the Racers. Northwestern Ohio held the largest lead of the half with four points and the lead would alter back forth between the two teams. The box scores of the two teams was eerily similar, both teams shot 50% from the field and both teams assisted on 11 of their 13 made field goals. Davenport went into the half with some momentum after Bramhill knocked in a three ball with five seconds remaining off of a pass from a falling Rich.
The second half was a tight game up until there was 13:13 remaining.
Dawid Czerniawski finished a lay-up off of a pretty pass from Bramhill that sparked a nine point DU run. Both Rich and
Javon Haines scored during the run, and Bramhill capped off the run with a three ball. A few plays later
Wes Webbert took off in transition for a sweet alley-oop jam to bring the fans to their feet.
Davenport held a ten-point lead with 6:21 remaining and the Racers went on a six point run to cut the lead to four points over the next couple minutes. A three pointer by Bramhill and a lay-up by Rich brought the lead back up to nine points and DU hit their free throws down the stretch to close the game successfully.
Four Panthers scored in double digits tonight, Gamble had 12 points, Webbert had 14 points, and both Bramhill/Rich each scored 19 points. Davenport shot 50% from the field for the game, and had 19 assists with only eight turnovers. Even though
Khadim Dieng didn't score he grabbed a team high six rebounds, three of those coming on the offensive glass. Czerniawski dished out the second most assists on the team with four.

Davenport takes on two conference opponents this upcoming week that they have already defeated this season. They travel to Concordia on Wednesday and host Lourdes on Saturday.
