HOW IT HAPPENED
Emotions were high for Rich and the rest of the Panthers as they took the court for the second to last regular season home game of the season. Davenport started all three seniors and the atmosphere was electric. Rich started the scoring off for DU with a corner three ball on his first shot attempt. The Gray Wolves stayed with the Panthers for a majority of the half, as Lourdes led 24-20 with 7:41 remaining in the first half. A couple of three balls by Bramhill gave DU a two-point lead, and the rest of the team helped build that into a 14-point lead heading into half. Rich ended the half off with a three pointer nailed with just three seconds to play and led all players with 14 points and four rebounds.
Bramhill started off the second half hot with back to back threes in the opening couple minutes and the Panthers led by 17 points. Davenport kept a double digit lead for the remainder of the game and one player off the bench created a lot of buzz in the crowd. Burns had the Panther fans on his feet throughout the game as he scored 14 points off the bench and shot 4/6 from the three-point arc. He also shut the gym down with his thunderous break away dunk towards the end of the half after he stole the ball and took it coast to coast.
Senior
Dawid Czerniawski scored four points and grabbed three rebounds. Senior Gamble had eight points and 11 assists. Burns and Bramhill both scored 14 points while coming off the bench. Bramhill was 5/11 from the field and grabbed three rebounds, Burns was 4/6 from three in only 18 minutes.
