CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Panthers claimed two more wins while competing in Kentucky and improve their win current win streak to 10 games. Davenport held off Campbellsville University during the first game of the day after Campbellsville scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. In the second game DU took care of Rio Grande 5-2 after
Mallory Teunissen tallied 13 strikeouts.

In the third inning Davenport took a commanding three run lead after Brambila singled and scored two runs with two outs. Maves was pitching well as she shut out Campbellsville through innings one to six. In the fifth inning
Lindsay Reed pinch ran for Flores and scored on a passed ball to bring the Panthers lead to four innings. With the game on the line Campbellsville notched three runs in the bottom of the seventh before Maves successfully closed the game.

For the majority of this game Davenport was down to Rio Grande. The Red Storm scored a run in the second and top of the sixth inning to lead 2-0. Davenport took the 2-0 deficit head on during the bottom of the sixth inning and drove in five runs to switch the momentum of the game instantly. Teunissen didn't give Rio a chance of a comeback as she struck out the first two batters in the top of the seventh and got the third to foul out to cap the epic comeback.
UP NEXT
Davenport had their other two games slated for Saturday canceled due to weather complications and will play next against NCAA division two opponent University of Findlay on March 17 in Ohio.
