SEASON IN REVIEWDavenport finished a solid 27-8-1 during the 2016-2017 campaign and made it to the quarterfinals of the ACHA National Championship. They also had a member of their team,
Jordan Simmonds, represent DU on Team USA in the Winter World University Games.
"I thought we played very well" said head coach
Phil Sweeney. "A couple lapses on our penalty kill transition really cost us. To put up 52 shots vs a quality team, like Adrian, shows that we are very good. I could coach this team forever, they gave our staff everything they have on a nighlty basis. They represented DU hockey to the fullest extent. I love these guys, I am extremely proud to coach this group of men."
