LIMA, Ohio. – Davenport splits with conference opponent Northwestern Ohio during their final road trip of the 2017 regular season. The Panthers hit an offensive slump in the first game of the doubleheader and bounced back with a 14 run win during game two. Davenport will get the chance to end their regular season on a solid note with five doubleheaders at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex.

In the first game of the doubleheader Davenport struggled to get their offense going. The hits were there for the Panthers but they were unable to score the runners. Davenport tallied eight hits during the game.
Aby Brambila recorded the only RBI for DU in the third inning with a single down the left line that scored Crawford. Northwestern Ohio scored three runs in the fifth inning to give them a 5-1 lead heading into the final two innings.

The Panthers bats came alive in the second game while recording nine hits and scoring 14 runs. Davenport scored 14 runs within the opening three innings to show why they are ranked top 10 in the country. Rowe scored the game winning run in the first inning off of a single by Tasma. Eastman was responsible for six RBI's during the game, including a grand slam in the third inning that scored Flores, Rowe and French. Teunissen was solid on the mound for her 16
th win of the season, giving up only three hits in four innings and no runs.
Up Next
Davenport has a great ending to their regular season schedule, hosting five different teams over the next couple weeks in doubleheaders. This upcoming week the Panthers host Lawrence Tech on Wednesday and Indiana Tech on Saturday.
