GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The GLIAC Championship features Grand Valley State and the Panthers of Davenport University. Not many people could have predicted that these two teams would be the last ones standing at the beginning of the tournament. The Lakers upset Ashland in the quarterfinals and then won on a buzzer beater in the semifinals against Parkside. Davenport, who didn't even make the GLIAC tournament last season, made arguably one of the best turnarounds in small college basketball. The Panthers are currently riding a 14-game win streak, which is the longest in program history, and are looking for the sweep of the GLIAC Championship trophies for the 2018-19 season. The championship game will take place today, Sunday, March 10, at 3:00 pm in the DU Student Center.
