FORT WAYNE, Ind. – D1 Hockey hit the ice for the first time in the 2019-20 season. After falling in the quarterfinals of the National Tournament a year ago, they looked to start the new season on the right foot. Their opponents were the defending WHAC Conference Champions, the Warriors from Indiana Tech.
The game was a back-and-forth affair, the two teams battled deep into third period tied at one, but two late goals from the Warriors did the trick, resulting in DU falling in their season opener.
