ALAMOSA, Colo. - The Davenport men's lacrosse team got their first NCAA Division II win on Saturday with a 13-10 win on the road at Adams State.
The contest was tight throughout the first three quarters and then Davenport outscored the Grizzlies 4-0 in the final quarter to pull away for the win. DU was led by
Blake Gibson-McDonald with seven goals on 10 shots on goal.
Keelan McKouen added two goals and one assist.
Jordan Caskenette scored a pair of goals.
DU trailed 10-7 with 5:56 left in the third quarter and then scored the game's final six goals to emerge as the winner. McDonald scored four times during the big run coming all unassisted. Caskenette netted the game-winning goal with 4:01 left in the game. McDonald added insurance goals at 2:01 and 1:15 to salt it away.
