SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Davenport University women's volleyball team turned in its most dominant performance of the season on Saturday as it rolled past Lake Superior State, 3-0, for a fourth-straight win and third sweep in the last four matches. The Panthers hit .303 as a team with 33 kills and only six errors on 89 swings. Next up, the Panthers will be at Grand Valley State on Friday with the first serve set for 7 p.m. in Allendale.

How It Happened
- Davenport hit at least .200 in all three sets including .458 in the first (12-1-24) and .290 in the third (10-1-31).
- Once Lake Superior State scored the first point of the match, Davenport answered with 13 of the next 17 points to go up by eight, 13-5.
- From there until the end of the set, the closest the Lakers could get was five, 16-11, and the Panthers led by as many as 10, 25-15.
- In the second period, Davenport opened with an 11-3 run before Lake Superior State scored the next three to make it 11-6.
- The visitors then came right back with four-straight points to go back ahead by nine, 15-6.
- The home team was then down by seven at 17-10 and 18-11 before Davenport scored seven of the set's final eight points to win it and go up 2-0 in the match.
- The Panthers scored the third set's first four points before the Lakers battled back to knot it up at 5-5.
- Davenport then responded with the next six points to go up 11-5 and Lake Superior State couldn't get closer than four after that.
