UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - After dropping down to the consolation bracket of the GLIAC Tournament on Friday, the seventh-seeded Davenport women's volleyball team was tasked with the No. 8 seed and host school, Saginaw Valley State, on Saturday night. In the two teams' first meeting since October of 2019, the Panthers made quick work of the Cardinals and won the match in straight sets.

Match Notes
- Despite winning the first set, Davenport came out in the second and made a statement.
- The Panthers hit an absurd .481 in that period with 14 kills and only one error on 27 total attacks.
- Kreiger made it 10 matches in a row with at least 10 kills and despite how well she's played recently, hit .400 for the first time since March 19 against Wayne State.
- Odeen picked up her third double-double of the season, all of which have come in her last six matches played.
- DeJonge racked up at least eight kills in a match for the fourth time this season and the .333 hitting percentage on Saturday was the second highest of those four.
- Davenport improved to 8-3 this season when it finishes with a hitting percentage of at least .190.
- The Panthers went above the .500 mark in the all-time series with the Cardinals, 3-2, and snapped a two-match skid against them.
- If the Panthers can win on Sunday, they'll will finish four games above the .500 mark overall, their most since the 2014 season.
