Davenport Finishes Season with Win in GLIAC Tournament

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Playing its fourth match in three days, the Davenport women's volleyball team defeated Parkside, 3-1, in the finals of the GLIAC Tournament consolation bracket on Sunday morning. The Panthers finish their 2021 campaign at 11-7, four matches above the .500 mark, which is their most since the 2014 season.

"The program took some major strides forward to establish itself in the upper half of the GLIAC this spring," said head coach, Brian Netzler. "To finish fifth and end our season with a win sends us into the offseason and fall season with confidence. I am proud of the team's grit and their response to adversity during such a strange season."
