Grand Valley State Spoils Home Debut for Davenport

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Making their home debut for the fall of 2021, the Panthers hosted Grand Valley State, but were unable to overcome a 2-0 match deficit and fell to the Lakers in four sets. Not to be overlooked, though, was another stellar effort from Hayley Kreiger as the senior racked up 31 kills (broke her own school record) on 75 total attacks (new school record). Next up on the schedule, Davenport will travel to Big Rapids and face Ferris State (6-4, 1-2 GLIAC) on Sunday with the opening serve set for 4 p.m.

- Friday, Kreiger also notched a career-high 17 digs for her 13th career double-double, not to mention multiple blocks for the seventh time in her 11 outings.
- Hayes also earned a double-double, her third of the season, with 41 assists and 11 digs.
- Webb snapped a four-match stretch not reaching five or more blocks and has now done it three times this fall.
- After 18 digs against the Lakers, Corstange still leads the conference in total digs (227) and is second in digs per set (5.04).
