Lillee Gustafson led the team with 12 points and nine rebounds in 21 minutes

MIDLAND, Mich. - The first quarter on Saturday was played evenly but then a rough second quarter opened things up for Northwood as they went on to defeat the Panthers 89-49 at Riepma Arena. Both wins were looking for their first win in the GLIAC and the Timberwolves got it with solid play over the final three quarters.

Davenport played a very solid opening 10 minutes and found themselves leading 18-17. The Panthers shot 46.7 percent from the floor and were 3-of-7 behind the arc. Northwood managed to shoot 42.1 percent but made just 1-of-6 from behind the arc. DU built a 16-4 lead to open the game in the first five-plus minutes. Lillee Gustafson's layup at the 4:22 mark gave the Panthers a 12-point lead. Northwood though would close out the quarter on a 13-2 run.
