AVCA Release
LEXINGTON, Ky. - For the first time in her storied career,
Hayley Kreiger has been selected to an All-Region Team by three different organizations, including the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), College Sports Communicators (CSC) and now the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Already an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American in 2021, the 6-1 outside hitter will look for All-American recognition from those three sources with the AVCA and D2CCA announcing on Wednesday, Nov. 30 and CSC releasing on Wednesday, Dec. 21. The fourth All-American in program history a season ago, Kreiger is trying to become DU's second multi-year All-American joining Hannah Stone (2013, 14), but she would be the first Panther to garner All-American spotlight from multiple outlets.
With her 1,000th career dig in the GLIAC Tournament quarterfinals against Grand Valley State, Kreiger became just the second player in program history (Krissy Dill) with 1,000 or more kills and 1,000 or more digs. The South Haven native still ranks second in all of Division II in kills and is fifth across all Divisions with 575. For just Division II, she's also first in total attacks (1,554), first in attacks per set (13.28), second in kills per set (4.91), and third in points per set (5.53).
