GREENWOOD, Ind. - The men's tennis team had a short-lived experience in the NCAA Midwest Regionals on Monday with a 4-0 loss to No. 12 Indianapolis in the first round. The Panthers were making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament and faced the No. 2 seed in the region in their hometown area.

The Greyhounds lost 4-3 in the GLVC Championship which snapped a nine-match win streak and they were looking to atone for that performance. The two and three doubles went to Indianapolis for the match's first point. Quintan van Wijk and Joel Mast dropped a 6-4 decision against Yoann Viel and Edgar Destouet at two doubles. Daniil Khitrou and Maxim Drinchich at three doubles fell 6-2 against Jason Gerweck and Pedro Franca. The one doubles went unfinished.

Indianapolis won the first three singles matches to stop at 4-0. Destouet at one singles beat van Wijk 6-1, 6-3. It was just the fourth singles loss of the season for van Wijk. Jonathan Bulmer played at three singles in his final collegiate match and dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision to Viel. The match concluded at four singles as Mast lost 6-4, 6-1 to Zac Faveri.
