CALEDONIA, Mich. – Daniel Calver and Leonardo Lovalho each earned singles and doubles victories as the Davenport University men's tennis team hosted Spring Arbor on Friday, Oct. 23 at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex. The Panthers collected six singles wins and four doubles victories among the reported results to conclude their fall competition.

Calver rallied after dropping the opening set to defeat Spring Arbor's Jaume Riera Galindo 1-6, 6-0, 10-6. Jaiden Karem also secured a victory in a deciding match tiebreaker, topping Jack Nicklas 6-2, 6-7, 10-3.

Thiofhi Tshivhase defeated Andrei Negrut 6-4, 6-2, while Reuben Bakker earned a 6-4, 7-5 win over Miguel Carvalho. Lovalho added a 6-2, 6-2 victory against Jacob Liao, and Arthur Talarico topped Hudson Valentine 6-2, 6-4.

Leo Phijidvijan and Rudiger Dusselberg led the Panthers in doubles with a 6-2 victory over Jakub Sevcik and Carvalho. Ian Moreira and Abdala Quintero Gomez defeated Negrut and Riera Galindo 6-3, while Calver and Lovalho teamed up for a 6-4 win against MacKinley McNalley and Liao. An additional 6-3 Davenport doubles victory over Nicklas and Erik Alday Morales was recorded, although the pairing requires confirmation.
