CALEDONIA, Mich. – Davenport University hosted Ferris State, Grand Valley State and Roosevelt for its second fall tennis invitational on Friday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex. The Panthers recorded 15 singles wins and seven doubles victories, including results from matches between Davenport teammates.

Leo Phijidvijan and Reuben Bakker each earned two singles wins against visiting opponents. Phijidvijan rallied past Grand Valley State's Axel Le Ho 3-6, 6-1, 10-6 before defeating Roosevelt's Marcos Valent 6-0, 1-6, 10-7. Bakker won both of his matches in straight sets, defeating Ferris State's Pi Wellington 6-4, 6-1 and Roosevelt's Jules Rumeau 6-4, 6-3.

Abdala Quintero also earned a comeback victory, defeating Roosevelt's Santiago Albarran 6-7(2), 6-2, 10-7. Dan Calver, Rudiger Dusselberg, Ian Moreira and Leo Lovalho each added singles wins against visiting opponents.

In doubles, Thiofhi Tshivhase and Bakker earned two victories together, defeating Roosevelt's Leo Roller and Rumeau 8-4 before edging Grand Valley State's Andreu Martin and Filip Dvorak 9-7. Karem and Calver, Lovalho and Quintero, Phijidvijan and Quintero, and Dusselberg and Lovalho also recorded wins against visiting teams.
