Marquette, Mich. - Fresh off a five-set come-from-behind victory at No. 19 Michigan Tech on Friday night, the Davenport women's volleyball team was at Northern Michigan for a Saturday matinee against the Wildcats. However, the home team defeated its visitors in straight sets inside Vandament Arena.

- As a team, Davenport was held to a season-low two service aces and fell to 0-3 when the opponent finishes with more.
- The Panthers hit .187 to the Wildcats' .173 clip, but the host out-killed its visitors, 43-35.
- DU's best offensive set came in the third with a .255 clip while NMU hit a match-high .213 in the opening period.
- The Wildcats ran their winning streak to eight in a row including four straight on their home floor.
- Taylor was held to fewer than 11 kills for the first time since Sept. 2 against Bloomsburg (five matches in a row).
- Kreiger stepped up with her fourth match of the season in which she went for double-digit kills while hitting at least .300.
- Starting to see a larger role, Welke was efficient on Saturday with five kills and no errors on 12 swings for a .417 clip.
- Beeke finished with 20 or more assists in a match for the fifth time this season, fourth-straight match and has had a double-double in three-straight outings.
