GLIAC - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced its weekly awards after games played on October 14. The Panthers improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the GLIAC with a win at Wayne State and got a stellar performance by Brandon Gielow, who is this week's GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Gielow tied his own school record with three field goals in the 32-3 win at Wayne State. He also connected on three extra points to give him 12 points, which also ties the school record for points in a game by a kicker. He went perfect in his kicking attempts despite terrible weather conditions with rain and wind. He currently has 104 career points, which ranks third in school history and first among kickers. Gielow is now 5-of-6 this season in field goals and that percentage leads the GLIAC.
