Panthers finish eighth overall in Adrian College Duals

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Davenport University women's wrestling team had their first competition of the season in the Adrian College Duals, tying for eighth place out of 16 teams.

DU received a bye in round one and was poised against D'Youville University in round two where they lost 19-5. Elizabeth Palmer won by fall (2:23) at 123 over Juliana Smith for the Panthers' only matchup victory in the meet as the Panthers lost to both Noth Central College (40-0) and Hiram (30-5) in rounds three and four respectively, receiving byes in charts three and four to receive a guaranteed eighth-place finish.
