ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Panthers were able to compete in the GVSU Tune Up on Friday as they primed themselves for next week's GLIAC Indoor Championships.

Shawn Sims won the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.89 and set a personal best in the process. Nick Ruvalcaba in the pole vault hit a school record and NCAA provisional mark at a height of 15' 9.25". Ethan Scholten also placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 21' 8.75".

Julia Tuuri was able to run a top-5 mark in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.92 and then set a school record in the 200 meters with a time of 25.68. Erin Dorn won the 400 meters with a time of 58.95. Stacia Rispress ran fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.77. Sidney Heugel also was fourth in the pole vault with a height of 12' 4.75". Mackenzie Brigham was able to win the long jump and did so with a distance of 17' 3.5". Lisa Wangler took home third place in the shot put (41' 10") and fourth in the weight throw (55' 8.5").
