GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Myles Belyeu registered 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal to lead the Davenport University men's basketball team to a 67-60 victory over Wayne State on Thursday (Jan. 11) evening.

Belyeu hit back-to-back jumpers to spur a 7-0 run for the Panthers (5-8, 1-3 GLIAC), giving them a 13-10 lead with 11:27 remaining in the first half. The Warriors (7-7, 1-4 GLIAC) took a 33-25 lead into the break, ending the half on a 7-3 run over the final 1:40.

Jaden Terrell hit a pair of three-pointers within 1:53 of each other, helping the Panthers take their first lead of the second half (44-41) with 12:05 remaining.

Davenport dominated the final 1:24 of the contest, ending the game on a 10-0 run to seal the deal. Belyeu scored four points during the game-winning stretch, including a layup to give the Panthers a one-point lead with 36 seconds left on the clock. Leading by three, Jovan Tucker stole the ball from WSU and was fouled on the transition layup, then sank both to set the score at 65-60 in favor of DU.

Marcedus Leech Jr. finished with 13 points and two assists for the Panthers, going a perfect 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Terrell ended the night with 10 points and two steals, while James Felton added nine points and eight boards. Jeff Carrier chipped in with eight points, four rebounds and a block for Davenport.

DU held Carmelo Harris (14 ppg), Wayne State's top offensive threat to just five points in the victory.
