GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport University men's basketball team fell to Lake Superior State 73-56 Thursday night (Feb. 22) at the DU Student Center. DU scored its first 12 points of the game off four three-pointers, taking an early 12-8 lead over the Lakers (19-6, 11-4 GLIAC) following a deep ball from Belyeu 4:20 into the game.

A monster slam from James Felton with 12:41 remaining in the half gave the Panthers their biggest lead of the contest. Towards the end of the half, Davenport put together a 6-0 run which was capped by a jump shot in the paint from Matas Deksnys. LSSU ended the half on a run to take a narrow 36-32 advantage heading into the break.
