GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's basketball team had three student-athletes in 2023-24 that were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Mary Liedel,
Jaci Walker, and
Ellie Toney set themselves apart for the hard work they did on and off the court.
To be nominated, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically. They must have competed in 90% of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66% of the games. The student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
Liedel concluded her two-year career at Davenport having played in 56 career games and made 35 starts for the Panthers. She played 1,273 minutes and finished with 353 points, 186 rebounds, and 65 assists.
Walker just finished up her third year with the program and currently has played in 82 career games with 32 starts. She has logged 1,319 minutes to go with 328 points, 176 rebounds, and 45 steals.
Toney has been a two-year leader in the frontcourt having started in 43-of-46 career games for DU. She is averaging 25.1 minutes per game and 8.9 points per game while pulling down 221 rebounds and dishing out 66 assists.
