WBCA – The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2025-26 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls on Tuesday afternoon, recognizing the nation's top academic women's basketball programs across all collegiate divisions.

Davenport women's basketball earned national recognition as a special mention in the NCAA Division II rankings after posting a 3.628 team grade-point average during the 2025-26 academic year.

The Panthers, led by head coach Shonda Sanders, were one of 57 NCAA Division II programs recognized by the WBCA and one of four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) institutions to receive recognition. Northern Michigan finished tied for 17th nationally with a 3.752 GPA, while Ferris State (3.661), Davenport (3.628) and Saginaw Valley State (3.577) all earned special mention honors.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls recognize college women's basketball teams that achieve the highest combined team GPA during the academic year. To qualify, programs must compile a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, including all student-athletes on the roster throughout the season, and be nominated by a WBCA-member head coach.

Mercy University topped the NCAA Division II rankings with a 3.853 cumulative team GPA.
