Senior Weekend on Deck as Davenport Hosts Purdue Northwest and Parkside

CALEDONIA, Mich. Davenport looks to continue its home win streak this weekend as the Panthers host Purdue Northwest on Oct. 24 and Parkside on Oct. 26 at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex, with both kickoffs set for 2 PM.
It will be a special weekend for DU as the program honors nine seniors — Bailey Gauthier, Claire Breault, Arianna Diemer, Alyssa Pressel, Alexis Martinez, Courtney Drew, Megan Malek, Brynn White, and Ainsley Oliver.

The Panthers are coming off a strong weekend that included a 2-0 win over Michigan Tech and a 1-0 victory against Northern Michigan, with key contributions on both sides of the ball. Goalkeeper Elizabeth Wolter earned GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors and looks to carry that momentum into another home stretch. Offensively, Claire Breault, Megan Malek, and Shay Norden each tallied a goal last weekend, while Josie Wilcox continues to lead the team in shots (23) and shots on goal (11).

Purdue Northwest Matchup
Despite Davenport's last matchup with the Pride on Oct. 3 resulting in a 0-1 loss for the Panthers, DU still leads the all-time series 7-2-2. Purdue Northwest enters the contest with an overall record of 5-5-2 and a 3-5 mark in GLIAC play.

Coming off a 1-0 victory over Ferris State, Davenport will host the Pride on Oct. 24 before closing out the regular season against Saginaw Valley, Grand Valley, Northern Michigan, and Michigan Tech as postseason contention approaches.

For the Pride, Mia Davis leads the team in goals (6), shots (24), and shots on goal (15). Davis currently ranks second in the GLIAC for most goals scored. In net, Poppy Jackson has allowed 11 goals while facing 116 shots and recording 31 saves, earning a goals-against average of 1.01 — third-best in the GLIAC. Jackson also ranks second in shutouts per game with four.

Parkside Matchup
The Rangers, currently in second place in the GLIAC standings, hold an overall record of 6-5-2 and a 6-2-1 mark in conference play. This will be the first meeting between the Rangers and Panthers this season, with their second matchup scheduled for Nov. 8.

Parkside is the only team in the GLIAC to defeat No. 2 Grand Valley State this season, earning a 1-0 victory last weekend behind a goal from the team's shots leader, Ava Rizzitano (25). Rizzitano has tallied three goals, three assists, and nine points on the season.

Leading the way in scoring for the Rangers is Lindsay Dahlinger with four goals, while Emily Mikkelson leads the team in points (12) and assists (6).

In goal, Tristin Cross leads Parkside in minutes played, making 47 saves after facing 118 shots and allowing 15 goals, good for a 1.50 goals-against average.
