INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Davenport University men's lacrosse opened the season against No. 10 UIndy, dropping a 19-4 decision to the Greyhounds in a road matchup against a former conference foe.

The opponent held a 9-0 lead after two quarters, as four unanswered points to open the second half was finally met by Jayden Ashley's unassisted goal with 1:47 remaining in the third period. DU's next three goals were tallied by Charlie Fritz (14:13), Luke Eichbauer (4:42), and Logan Flaherty (2:25), all in the final quarter.

Antonio Hart played all 60 minutes in net while making 14 saves. Flaherty and Tyler Burd (six) led the ground ball effort, as Burd marked a team-high four caused turnovers.

DU's next time out is in Illinois against the Quincy Hawks at QU Stadium.
