Despite the loss, the Panthers (5-16, 1-12 GLIAC) grabbed six more rebounds than the Bulldogs (20-4, 10-3 GLIAC), while shooting 35 percent from deep as opposed to 28.6 percent for FSU.

After holding Ferris State scoreless for the first three minutes of the game, the Panthers gained a 4-0 lead following a pair of made free throws by Matyas Vrabel.

Ferris State scored the first basket of the second half, but DU answered with two made free throws and a three-pointer from Jovan Tucker, trimming the FSU lead to six (35-29).
