KENTWOOD, Mich. - The Davenport University softball team dropped a pair of games to Parkside on Saturday at Kelloggsville Middle School.

Game One
Result: L, 4-2
How it Happened
Trailing 3-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth, the Panthers' offense was able to produce their first runs of the game.

Kailyne Luna secured the first hit of the inning with a single that was hit just to the left of the pitcher. On the ensuing at-bat, Brooke Bernt reached on a fielding error by the pitcher. Savanna Disbrow then singled to center field, allowing Luna to score. Bernt scored on the following at-bat as Ally Prasnjak doubled to right field.

However, the Rangers (16-14, 7-5 GLIAC) held on, only allowing the Panthers to notch one hit in the final two innings.

Hailey Whisman spent all seven innings in the circle, only allowing two earned runs and registering two strikeouts in the loss.

Offensively, Disbrow finished with two hits and an RBI to lead the way for the Panthers. Luna finished with one hit and one run, while Prasnjak and Madison Cole added one hit.
