Toney Stays Hot, but Panthers Drop Decision at Parkside

KENOSHA, Wis. — Ellie Toney continued her strong week at the offensive end, leading Davenport in a 76–58 setback to Parkside on Saturday afternoon at De Simone Arena. Despite scoring 26 points in the paint, the Panthers were unable to overcome the Rangers efficient shooting and ball movement, as the Rangers knocked down nine 3-pointers and assisted on 22 made field goals.

Toney led all scorers with 19 points, coming off a 20-point performance in Thursday's win over Roosevelt. The senior provided a steady offensive presence throughout the afternoon, helping Davenport remain within striking distance.

Parkside jumped out to an early lead behind perimeter shooting, taking a 23–15 advantage after the first quarter. DU found success attacking inside early, but the Rangers' ability to stretch the floor limited sustained runs.

The Panthers closed the gap in the second quarter behind Toney, who scored 11 of Davenport's 17 points in the period. Despite the push, Parkside maintained control and carried a 42–32 lead into halftime.

DU made its best run early in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to seven following a 3-pointer from Anna Axtell. Parkside answered with timely execution, extending the margin to 60–45 heading into the fourth quarter.

Davenport continued to compete down the stretch, with Maddie Geers and Nevaeh Williams contributing on both ends, but the Rangers maintained control to close out the 76–58 victory.
