GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Davenport men's lacrosse team fell to Rockhurst 16-3 on Tuesday (March 10) at DU Turf Field. The Panthers managed to secure one power-play goal and recorded 20 shots on goal.

In the opening quarter, RU took control early, winning the faceoff and maintaining possession. The Hawks struck first at 13:14, giving them an early advantage. The Panthers responded with a man-up goal by Charlie Fritz at 7:18, assisted by Jayden Ashley, leveling the score. However, Rockhurst regained momentum with goals at 4:51 and again at 4:20, closing the quarter with a 3-1 lead over Davenport. 

RU extended its lead in the second quarter with a pair of goals to go ahead 5-1. Davenport responded with a goal from Tommy Becker at 10:00, followed by Ashley's score, assisted by Fritz at 08:02, narrowing the gap to two (5-3). Despite the Panthers efforts, Rockhurst took a 7-3 advantage into the half.

In the second half, the Panthers were held scoreless while giving up nine more goals.
