OXFORD, Ohio - The track and field teams took their throwers to the Miami Blizzard Buster for the first outdoor meet of the season on Friday, March 20. Jayla Procter was able to break her own school record in the discus with a throw of 147' 5" and finished in second place. She set the record of 141' 6" in last year's Blizzard Buster meet.

Procter also competed in the shot put and had a team-best throw of 33' 11.25". Freshman Abbie Morris placed 13th in the discus with a throw of 116' 4" and also was 14th in the javelin with a throw of 85' 2". Hannah Fitzpatrick claimed ninth in the javelin at 103' 8". Madison Hernandez would finish 11th in the hammer throw with a toss of 139' 7".

Thomas Johnson finished fifth in the shot put with a distance of 49' 9.75" and also set a PR in the discus and was in fourth place at 159' 10". Chandler Griffiths placed sixth in the shot put (49' 3.75"). James Horn would claim 12th place in the hammer throw at 134' 8".
