Preview: Panthers Set to Host Pair of Conference Foes this Weekend

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport University women's lacrosse team is set to continue conference action after winning its GLIAC opener over Saginaw Valley State on Tuesday (March 24). The Panthers will now host Concordia-St. Paul on Friday at 2 p.m. and Northern Michigan on Sunday (March 29) at 1 p.m. at the DU Turf Field.

So far this season, Davenport has had a host of players leading the charge offensively, with six players tallying at least 20 points on the season.

Senior Gabby Basha leads the conference in assists (20) and assists per game (2.50). She has also registered 11 goals and ranks second on the squad in points.

DU's goal leader is Addison Roe, as she has found the back of the net 29 times this season. She also earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honor in week four.

Defensively, Kacie Stolarek has earned GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors twice this season. She ranks second on the team in caused turnovers (16) and third in ground balls (22) despite missing time due to an injury.

About the Golden Bears
  • Last season, the Golden Bears finished 9-8 overall and 5-3 in GLIAC play. CSP was knocked out of the conference tournament in the opening round by Northern Michigan, falling 9-7.
  • Susie Monson is the top returner for CSP, as she was named the 2025 GLIAC Midfielder of the Year with 32 goals, 62 points and 93 draw controls as a junior. The Golden Bears also return the GLIAC Defender of the Year in Claire Flahaven.
  • So far this season, Monsoon has earned GLIAC Player of the Week honors twice and surpassed 100 career goals.

  • Josie Lakosky returns after being named the 2025 GLIAC Attacker of the Year a season ago, as well as earning First Team All-Conference honors. So far this season, she has earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice (weeks one and six).On the season, she ranks second across NCAA Division II in goals (47). Leads the country in points per game (7.22).
