ALLENDALE, Mich. — Davenport University track & field competed at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet (April 24–25) hosted by Grand Valley State University, turning in several competitive performances against a deep field of Division I, II, and NAIA programs. The team did send a smaller squad as most of the student-athletes rested for the GLIAC Championship this upcoming week.
Julia Ott placed fourth in the high jump with a height of 5' 4.5".
Reese Geiger competed in the pole vault and claimed fifth place with a height of 10' 6.25".
Bree Hardy took seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 32' 3".
Elizabeth Miller took seventh in the discus with a throw of 132' 9" for a season-high mark.
Hannah Fitzpatrick took home sixth in the javelin with a throw of 115' 8"
Luke Oyster finished fifth in the 800 meters with a career-best time of 1:56.53. The 4x100 meter relay hit the national qualifier, and was second all-time at DU (40.39). The grouping of

Jaden Herrick has the 23rd best mark in Division II.
Nick Ruvalcaba had a season-best height of 15' 10" and just missed the national qualifier in the pole vault.
Ethan Scholten had a season best in long jump and was second with a mark of 22' 11.75".
Chandler Griffiths placed fourth in the shot put (50' 5.25"). Herrick was also sixth in the javelin (152' 1").
