Going into the regular season, Davenport and Cornerstone were both favored to have a big impact on the final conference standings. After three weeks of play, Davenport has lived up to the expectations, while the Golden Eagles have struggled a bit. Cornerstone did not show any signs of struggle Tuesday afternoon as the Eagles pushed the Panthers to the limit before David Wood found the back of the net with just 5:23 remaining in 2OT to win the game 1-0.

With the win, Davenport improves to 5-0-1 on the year and 3-0 in WHAC play. They will host a crucial WHAC game this Saturday at 3:00 when they take on Siena Heights. The game will follow the women's game at 12:30.
