Georgetown, Ky, - After a struggle on Friday night against some nationally ranked teams, the competition did not get any easier for the Panthers volleyball team today. DU dropped two more matches at Georgetown to finish the weekend 0-4.

The first match of the day featured a challenge against Bethany College and after another slow start, DU rebounded to come back and take set #3 but were unable to keep the momentum going. Bethany finished the Panthers off in the fourth set to take the match 3-1.  Megan Vanderhyde posted 19 kills on the day and her total of kills this year breaks the school record for kills in a season.

The second match saw DU take on another ranked opponent and again the Panthers were outmatched as they fell 3-1 to St. Xavier (IL). DU was once again led by Vanderhyde on offense with 11 kills and Courtney DePriest posted 12 digs in the match.

Davenport will return to action on Tuesday when they host Concordia University in a critical WHAC contest. Game time is set for 7:00 PM inside the DU Student Center.
