Wheaton, Ill. - The first tournament in Davenport women's lacrosse history is in the books and the team is standing tall after going 2-0-1 in the Wheaton Tournament. Davenport used the momentum from Friday night's victory over BGSU to claim a 9-3 win over Hope and followed it up with a 5-5 tie against Oakland on Saturday afternoon.

The first half of the Hope game was a see-saw battle after Davenport opened the scoring less than a minute into the game on a goal from Brittany Roys. After Hope scored to make it 2-2 at the 15 minute mark, DU would end the half by scoring three unanswered goals to take a 5-2 halftime lead.
