Seven Panthers earn All-GLIAC honors for the 2025 season

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's lacrosse team was honored with seven recipients on the 2025 Women's Lacrosse All-GLIAC teams for their excellence on the field.

FIRST TEAM

  • Gabby Basha, a junior from Bruce Township, Mich. and a graduate from Eisenhower High School, is receiving this award for the first time after earning Honorable Mention All-GLIAC in 2024. Basha finished the regular season with 20 goals and 12 assists. She also had 57 shots, including 46 on goal for an impressive 80.7 percent rate. Basha had a season-high three goals on two occasions and also scored two goals in each of the last four games.
  • Blakely Malpass, a senior from Huntington Beach, Calif. and a graduate from Edison High School, is receiving this award for the second time (2023) and also was Second Team All-GLIAC in 2024 and Honorable Mention All-GLIAC in 2022. Malpass currently has 38 goals and 13 assists this season. She has a total of 82 shots, including 60 on goal for a percentage of .732. Malpass has 32 ground balls, 13 draw controls, and 10 caused turnovers. She is ranked sixth in the GLIAC with 3.19 points per game and fifth with 2.38 goals per game. Malpass scored a season-high five goals on two occasions and all-time at Davenport ranks tied for fourth in free-position goals (33), seventh in shots on goal per game (3.47), and ninth in goals (127).
SECOND TEAM
  • Theadora Krueger, a senior from Mequon, Wis. and a graduate of Homestead High School, is receiving this award for the fourth straight season. She has played in 16 games and made 12 starts. Krueger has 28 goals, nine assists, 60 shots, 46 shots on goal, 40 ground balls, 35 caused turnovers, and 24 draw controls. She had a season-high five caused turnovers against Northern Michigan on Apr. 13 and is the all-time career leader with 94 at Davenport. She also led the GLIAC this season with 2.19 caused turnovers per game. Krueger ranks seventh in school history with 121 draw controls and ninth with 135 ground balls.
  • Jade Remacle, a sophomore from Midland, Mich. and a graduate of Dow High School, is receiving this award for the second straight year. She has played and started in all 16 games this season. Remacle totaled 29 ground balls, 13 caused turnovers, and 25 draw controls so far this season. She also had two goals and one assist with six shots on goal. She had a season-high eight ground balls on Apr. 25 at Saginaw Valley State.
  • Ashley Sanders, a freshman from Grand Rapids, Mich. and a graduate of Northview High School, had a big impact in her first season. She played in 11 games and made eight starts. Sanders currently has 19 ground balls, five caused turnovers, and one draw control. She had a season-high six ground balls on Mar. 8 at Ashland.
HONORABLE MENTION
  • Maddy Haynes, a redshirt senior from Evansville, Ind. and a graduate of Evansville North High School, is receiving this award for the third time in her career and was also named First Team All-GLIAC in 2022. Haynes has played in all 16 games this season with 12 starts. She has 36 goals, five assists, 56 shots, 46 shots on goal (.821 percentage), 23 ground balls, 21 caused turnovers, and three game-winning goals. She had a season-high six goals on Mar. 1 versus Fort Lewis. Haynes ranks sixth in the GLIAC in goals per game (2.25), fourth in caused turnovers per game (1.31), and is seventh in points per game (2.56). She has 105 career goals, which is tied for 14th in school history.
  • Alyssa Bird, a junior from Urbandale, Iowa and a graduate of Waukee Northwest High School, is receiving this award for the second time in her career. Bird has played in 16 games this season with 12 starts. She has 19 goals, eight assists, 39 shots, 35 shots on goal (.897 percentage), 23 ground balls, nine caused turnovers, and four draw controls. Bird had a season-high six points on Apr. 25 at Saginaw Valley State.
