Fort Wayne, Ind. - Being ranked in the Top 25 did not suit the Panthers too well as they dropped three of their next four games but DU got back to its winning ways as they posted a 3-0 shutout of Indiana Tech today.

The offense and defense both played solidly today as DU posted its third shutout of the season. David Wood got the Panthers on the scoreboard early with a goal in the first half with the assist coming from Lewis Robinson. Senior All-American Tony Deakin added a goal late in the opening half to give DU a 2-0 lead at the break.

Davenport stayed aggressive in the closing half as Wood would add his second goal of the game on a cross from Elfid Kovacevic. The Panthers then played great defense to give Jeremy Novakoski the shutout.

The win lifts DU to 5-3-0 on the year and 1-2-0 in WHAC play. They will look to increase the intensity on Wednesday when they travel to Aquinas College for a rivaly game against the Saints on Wednesday, October 1. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
