Singles Wins Carry DU to 5-4 Win at Judson

ELGIN, Ill. - Five singles victories lifted the Panthers to a thrilling 5-4 win at Judson University on Saturday afternoon. The win is the second in a row for DU as they will take on Lake State on Sunday at Orchard Hills.

DU struggled in the doubles competition today as they fell in all three matches but rebounded to win five of the six singles matches for the 5-4 win.

Andrew Meads (Middleville, Mich.), Jeff Karasinski (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Vitaly Schumilov (Togliatti, Russia) won their three matches in convincing fashion as neither dropped more than a game in the six sets.

Also posting singles wins were Nick Waechter (Plainwell, Mich.) and Matt Weiden (Kentwood, Mich.) who each rallied for a three-set win.

DU will host Lake State on Sunday at Orchard Hills.
