Panthers Fall to Spring Arbor 7-2 on Saturday

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - In their second match in as many days, the Panthers fell to MCC foe Spring Arbor University 7-2. Davenport is now 3-10 on the year and will face Adrian College in Adrian on Sunday.

After falling 8-1 to Indiana Tech on Friday afternoon, the Panthers returned to the court today but came out on the losing end again this time a 7-2 setback to Spring Arbor.

Davenport got one point in singles and one point in doubles. Jerome Jayapal (Grand Rapids, Mich.) posted the lone singles win as the freshman won by the score of 6-4, 6-3.

The team of Jeff Karasinski (Comstock Park, Mich.) and Matt Weiden (Kentwood, Mich.) continued their solid season together as they won 9-7 in #1 doubles action.

Davenport will take on the Bulldogs in Adrian on Sunday afternoon.
