GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Davenport put an end to a 6-match losing streak today and also picked up their first sweep in program history as they downed Judson University 9-0. The win comes a day before the Panthers host CCAC power St. Francis (Ill.) at Orchard Hills.
Davenport started the day with a seep in all six singles matches that were highlighted by 6-0, 6-0 sweeps from Vitaly Schumilov (Togliatti, Russia) and Chris Grashorn (Rockford,
Mich.).
Jeff Karasinski (Comstock Park, Mich.) won his match 6-0, 6-1 and DU also got wins from Andrew Meads (Middleville, Mich.), Matt Weiden (Kentwood, Mich.) and #Jerome Jayapal# (Grand Rapids, Mich.).
Davenport also posted a clean sweep in the three doubles matches as well as they will stay at home on Saturday morning to face University of St. Francis (Ill.).
