GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The road to the NAIA National Tournament continues on Friday for the No. 19 ranked Men's Soccer team as will host Northwestern Ohio in the 2013 WHAC Tournament Championship. DU is the top overall seed in the conference and will host the No. 2 seed Racers with the winner received the conference's automatic berth to the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round on November 23. The game will be broadcast live on the Davenport Athletics Network.

Scouting UNOH – 15-2-3, 7-2-1 WHAC– Head coach Gavin Oldham (2nd season)
The Racers are one of the hottest teams in the country coming into the title match and head coach Gavin Oldham has his Racers on the cusp of claiming their first ever NAIA tourney bid. UNOH has an overall record of 15-2-3 and over their last 13 matches, are 11-1-1 with their lone loss to Davenport. During that time, they have also defeated then No. 1 ranked Rio Grande 2-1.
Tournament Title Hunters
Davenport, winners of the 2005 and 2010 WHAC Tournament titles, have appeared in four championship matches and have posted a 2-2 mark. DU also appeared in the title game in 2007 (2-0 loss to Aquinas) and 2009 (2-0 loss to Indiana Tech).
National Statistics
As a team, Davenport ranks nationally in six different categories led by No. 12 in Goals (63), No. 14 in Assists (46) and No. 19 in Shots per Game (18.8). Individually, Dzenan Catic is No. 2 in Game Winning Goals (7), No. 3 in Goals (23), No. 4 in Points (48) and No. 7 in Shots on Goal per game (2.7).
Last time vs. UNOH
Davenport and UNOH met back on October 12 and the Panthers won a 3-1 contest in which they played a man down for close to 40 minutes. DU got goals from Lito Esquivel, Dzenan Catic and Jai Maw. The Racers scored their lone goal just before halftime.
