GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Two more road contests remain on the schedule as part of the men's soccer team's 11-match road stretch to start the season. They come this week in a pair of league contests at Lawrence Tech on Wednesday and at Madonna on Saturday. The Panthers will be looking to improve on their 7-2-0 overall mark after they got the WHAC slate off to a solid start last Saturday with a 5-1 win at Indiana Tech. The Panthers enter the week receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 Poll for the first time since August of 2011.

Scouting Lawrence Tech (Mich.) – 1-7-0, 0-1-0 WHAC– Head coach Will Dyer (5th season)
The Blue Devils enter their second season in the WHAC and come into the week with an overall record of 1-6-0. Head coach Will Dyer and his team fell to Marygrove 3-1 in the league opener last weekend but also got their first win last week Wednesday over Cincinnati Christian. The Blue Devils are led by the tandem of Justin Ritchey (five goals and two assists) as well as Tyler Jugon (six goals, one assist). They have combined for 11 of the team's 13 goals while Grady Beerck has gotten the start in five of their eight matches in net posting a GAA of 2.32 with 15 saves on the season.
Scouting Madonna (Mich.) – 2-4-0, 0-1-0 WHAC – Head coach Mark Zathey (1st season)
Mark Zathey makes his return to the pitch at Madonna University where he once held the women's head job from 2001-2005. He has the men's team off to a 2-4-0 start to this season which includes a 0-1 mark in the league after the Crusaders fell to Siena Heights this past Saturday. Ryan Williams leads the team with three goals while three other players have posted two. In net, the Crusaders have been anchored by Marcel Schmid who has gotten the start in all six matches while posting a GAA of 2.14.
