SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Dzenan Catic recorded his first collegiate hat-trick while fellow freshman TJ Ifaturoti posted two goals as the tandem led the Panthers to an 8-0 victory at Lawrence Tech on Wednesday afternoon. Davenport, winners of their last four matches, improves to 8-2-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the WHAC. Head coach Chris Hughes and his team will head to Livonia on Saturday for a 5 p.m. kick against Madonna.

Playing in their second to last road contest of an 11-match road swing to start the season, Davenport came out firing from the start and put away the host Blue Devils behind a dominating 4-0 opening half. The Panthers then recorded the same number of goals in the second to post their most goals in a single match since the 2008 season when they defeated Siena Heights by the same score.

Dzenan Catic, already the team leader in goals with seven, added to his strong start to the season with three opening half goals while senior Damian Goncalves added his first of the season to put the Panthers on top 4-0. The four goals came all in a span of 11:37 span that started with Catic's first at the 26:51 mark.

Dino Duratovic continued his solid play as of late as the junior got the scoring started in the second half and the pair of goals by TJ Ifaturoti were sandwiched around Duratovic's and Omar Mansah's.

Mirza Harambasic played 76:58 in net for DU to post his eighth win of the season and Kyler Jacobs came in to finish the combined shutout. Harambasic posted three saves

DU will look to keep the momentum going when they travel to Madonna University on Saturday for a 5 p.m. kickoff against the Crusaders.
