The Davenport Report – 7-10-0, 6-6-0-0 CCWHA
DU officially returns to the ice for the first time since its two-game set with Grand Valley State on Nov. 22-23. The Panthers are looking to break a three-game losing slide after dropping two to the Lakers and one to Northeastern. Chantal Caraher will be picking up where she left off before the break as the points and assists leader, having scored 16 goals and notched 19 assists for 35 points. Lexie Boydston returns to the ice leading the team in goals with 18. The goaltending duties have been shared between Lauren Yomantas and Victoria Smishek. Yomantas owns a 3.05 goals-against average and 207 saves while Smishek maintains a 5.03 GAA and has stopped 370 shots.

A Quick Look at Liberty
Like Davenport, Liberty retakes the ice for the first time in nearly two months. Their last results were a pair of setbacks to UMass in Boston. Despite only finding the back of the net once this season, Sarah Stevenson leads the team with six assists and seven points. Carrie Jickling and Melissa Graham are right behind Stevenson with six points. Jickling is one of four Flames to lead the team in goals with three. Chantal Lischynski has played the most minutes between the pipes this season. She carries a 1.54 GAA with 152 saves in nearly 429 minutes of work.

A Quick Look at UMass
The Minutewomen comes to Grand Rapids having been unbeatable in their last seven games. Their last loss was at home to Northeastern on Nov. 9. Although Sarah Oteri leads the team in points (19), Amanda Abromson is the only student-athlete to reach double figures in goals (12). Ally Perdios and Chelsea Jaramillo are also in double digits in points with 15 and 11, respectively. Chelsea Corell, Kasey Zegel and Bethany Welch each have seen action in the crease but Corell has logged in the most minutes. With 540 minutes of ice time, Corell carries a 0.89 GAA and has made 207 saves.

We Meet Again
Davenport and UMass have met before this season, with the Minutewomen cruising to a 7-3 win back in the ACHA Division I Showcase held in Rhode Island. The Minutewomen jumped on the board 3:56 into the contest but a power play opportunity midway through the first period got the Panthers back on track. Melissa Cresse's second goal of the season tied the game one apiece in the first period and Chantal Caraher, who assisted Cresse' goal, added two more in the third period.
